Some idiot or idiots threw tacks on the road of the tour route and as a result many riders' bike tyres were punctured and a couple of them ended up in hospital with broken bones! 10:37pm: I've just finished watching a fine Scottish program called Taggart which I'm sure I've mentioned before (notable for the fact that since about 1993 there hasn't actually been anyone called Taggart on it because the actor died) and as it's based in Glasgow they all have Scottish accents and pronounce murder in a most charming fashion.
